The Wallowa Lake Tramway is one main attractions of Joseph Oregon. A gondola ride up 8,135ft to the top where a restaurant sits. You are met with spectacular views and miles of different hikes on top of the mountain. If you are a dare devil, you can arrange to paragliding off of the top of the mountain.





The marina is a place to rent canoes, kayaks and motor boats on Wallowa Lake. Crystal clear waters and a large lakes means that if your up for it, you can kayak all the way to the other side of the lake.





The Pack Station is preparing to take tourists on a packing trip up the Eagle Cap Mountains. This is not for beginners, as the terrain is rough, but beginners can still ride around town. This a big attraction for tourists who want to get a little taste of the mountains, without actually having to hike up any of them.

Photo Courtesy of Disney       It came as no surprise to me that one search of the 2019 live-action version of “Aladdin” on Google came up with a mirage of reviews with claims such as “an embarrassment to Disney” and “this is not what you wished for” and one scalding review after another. Those who aren’t angry, are mostly just confused. It seems like most people don't really know how to feel. I knew there would be some awful reviews, hell, I think skeptical and scolding reviews were coming out before the movie even hit the box office. My Best Photo Journalism

The best photo I took this term was the one pictured above of the Wallowa Lake Marina. I liked this photo because of my use of black and white. Because tourist season hasn't hit yet, and the weather wasn't perfect, the lake was deserted. In this small town, the summers are filled with tourists, so a deserted lake is not something we will see until winter hits. I think this picture perfectly captures the calm and peaceful lake, something only locals ever get to experience. I think I got a new, fun angle, something I learned in photojournalism. I think I don't always look for the best photo anymore, but what photo is going to tell the best story. What is this photo saying? To me my photo is telling the tale of a small town, a hidden gem, a peaceful day. If I didn't live there already and I saw this picture, I would sure want to go. Humans of LBCC: Christopher Batman and Elisa Kanoff

Christopher Batman   Christopher Batman is in his second term of his freshman year, majoring in Machine Tools. Christopher has spent the past 5 years in the Army, and is now transitioning from the structured life that the army provides, to the loose setting of a college campus. He has spent most of his free time in the veteran center at LBCC, and it has been a major safe haven for him. He explains how great it is to have a place to connect with people who are used to the lifestyle of the military; 5 a.m wake ups and the fast paced and "craziness you see in the real army". With a wake up time of 6 a.m Christopher is excited to have a class this term at 9 a.m, where last term all of his classes started at 1 p.m. and he was bored all day.
